Instagram Reels Production

Short-form video is the currency of modern social media. However, producing a high-quality Reel involves multiple stakeholders: Scriptwriters, Videographers, Editors, and Client Approvers.

This workflow is designed to move a Reel from "Concept" to "Posted" without losing context or files along the way.

Workflow Stages

1. Concept & Scripting

Role: Content Strategist / Copywriter

The process begins with an idea.

  • Action: Create a new task using the "Video Reel" template.
  • Details: In the task description, outline the:
    • Hook: Visual or audio hook to stop the scroll in the first 3 seconds.
    • Body: The core value prop or entertainment piece.
    • CTA: Call to Action (e.g., "Link in Bio").
    • Audio Reference: Link to the trending audio on Instagram/TikTok.

Best Practice: Attach a "Mood Board" or reference video links in the comments section for the videographer.

2. Filming

Role: Videographer / Creator

Once the script is approved (internally), the task moves to Filming.

  • Action: Shoot the content.
  • Asset Management: Upload the Raw Footage to the task's Asset tab.
    • Do not send raw files via WhatsApp. They lose quality and get lost.
    • Use the "Upload Assets" button in the task detail view.

3. Editing

Role: Video Editor

The editor receives a notification that footage is ready.

  • Action: Download raw footage from the Assets tab.
  • Editing: Apply cuts, transitions, captions, and trending audio.
  • Upload: Upload the V1_Draft.mp4 to the Assets tab.
  • Status Update: Move task to Manager Review.

4. Manager Review

Role: Social Media Manager

Quality control is critical. The manager watches the draft.

  • Feedback: If changes are needed, leave specific comments (e.g., "Cut the pause at 0:04"). Move task back to Editing.
  • Approval: If it looks good, move task to Client Approval.

5. Client Approval

Role: Client

The client receives an email: "New Reel Ready for Review: [Task Title]". They log into the Client Portal.

  • View: They watch the video directly in the portal.
  • Action: They click "Approve" or "Request Changes".
    • Note: If they request changes, they are required to enter a comment explaining why.

6. Scheduling / Posting

Role: Social Media Manager

Once approved, the task enters the Scheduling phase.

  • Action: Download the Final_Approved.mp4 from the Assets tab.
  • Platform: Upload to Instagram/TikTok/YouTube Shorts.
  • Status: Mark task as Completed.

Critical Checkpoints

  • Audio Rights: Ensure you are using Trending Audio (Business Account safe) or royalty-free music.
  • Captions: 80% of users watch without sound. Ensure captions are burned in and within the "Safe Zone" (not covered by UI elements).
  • Cover Image: Don't forget to design or select a Cover Image for the grid.

Troubleshooting

Client wants to change the music after filming? This is a "Scope Creep" issue.

  1. Check if the original script specified the audio.
  2. If yes, inform the client that re-editing might incur a delay.
  3. Move the task back to Editing and tag the Editor.

File size too large for upload? Yuktis supports files up to 500MB per upload. For raw 4K footage that exceeds this, use a linked folder (Dropbox/Drive) and paste the link in the Task Description, but ensure the Final Export is always uploaded to Yuktis for the archive.
