Kanban Boards

The Kanban Board is the heart of project execution in Yuktis. It visualizes the flow of work from "ToDo" to "Done", helping you spot bottlenecks instantly.

Understanding Columns

Unlike generic tools where columns are just text labels, in Yuktis, columns represent Workflow States.

  • Fixed Order: The columns are defined by the Workflow Template (e.g., Social Media Post). You cannot accidentally delete a step like "Client Approval" because it's hard-coded into the agency's process.
  • Role Gating: Only users with the matching role (e.g., "Editor" for the "Editing" step) can move tasks into or out of those columns.
  • Admin Override: Super Admins and Managers have "Bypass" permissions and can move any task regardless of role restrictions to unblock urgent workflows.

Managing Tasks

Each card on the board represents a Task.

Card Anatomy

  • Title: The name of the deliverable (e.g., "Reel #5: Summer Promo").
  • Assignee: The small avatar shows who is currently responsible.
  • Priority: Color-coded badges (Red for Urgent, Orange for High).
  • Client: Shows which client this task belongs to.
  • Due Date: Turns red if the date has passed.

Drag and Drop

To move a task forward, simply click and drag it to the next column.

  • Optimistic Updates: The UI updates instantly. If the server fails to save the change (e.g., internet loss), the card will snap back.
  • Auto-Assignment: Moving a task to a new column (like "Editing") might automatically assign it to the Editor role if configured in the template.

Filtering the Board

You can filter the view to focus on what matters:

  • My Tasks: Show only items assigned to you.
  • By Client: Drill down into a specific account (e.g., "Show me only Acme Cafe").
  • By Priority: Focus on the "Urgent" fires first.

Best Practices

  1. Keep it flowing: If a task sits in "In Progress" for 3 days without updates, leave a comment asking why.
  2. One Assignee: Ensure every card has one clear owner. Shared responsibility creates ambiguity.
  3. Check Daily: Start your morning by reviewing the board from right to left (focus on finishing tasks before starting new ones).
